Aldi Coffee Pods (Price, Types, Quality, Roasts, Taste + More)

We all know that coffee is our only source of energy. With the invention of coffee pods, making a single cup of coffee has never been simpler or more easy. With the Keurig, there are many instant and espresso options.

Aldi supermarkets are well-known for their ability to sell food at steeply discounted costs. Aldi also offers coffee pods. Let’s look at the Aldi coffee pod collection.

  • Aldi Coffee Pods In 2022
  • Aldi also sells coffee pods as part of their Barissimo brand, which offers higher quality coffees. Available in decaf, regular, light roasts and flavored styles as well, the pods also have Fair Trade options. The price per 12 boxes is $3.55.

Aldi sells what kind of coffee pods?

Aldi has six coffee cups that are part of its Everyday line. They all come with a label indicating they belong to the Barissimo coffee range. Note that Aldi calls their pods “cups”; I will use the two terms interchangeably.

The flavors you can find at any time of the year, all year-round, include:

Barissimo Espresso Blend or Donut Store Coffee Cups 12 ct.

Barissimo Caramel or French Vanilla Cappuccino Cups, 12 ct.

    Barissimo Coffee Cups 12 ct.

Barissimo Fair Trade Colombian Coffee Cups, 12 ct.

Barissimo French and Blonde Roast Coffee Cups 12 ct.

Barissimo French Vanilla or Hazelnut Coffee Cups, 12 ct.

Aldi often releases special flavors as part their Aldi Finds assortment. Peppermint Mocha, perhaps, might appear in winter.

The company released 12 Valentine’s Day chocolates in a gift box.

Pumpkin Spice is the best flavor of fall, and Aldi will be offering its take on it in autumn.

    Are Aldi Coffee Pods Cheap?

One of the things I appreciate about Aldi is how consistent they are with their pricing. For items such as coffee cups and other coffee products, which all come packaged in boxes of 12, regardless of the coffee type or flavor, the price of the Everyday cup is $3.55.

Walmart offers their coffee pods as Great Value under its store name. You can buy 12-packs of these pods at $3.92. But, you must not forget that the variety is far greater. There are more than 15-20 types.

Wegmans also has its own store-label coffee pods available for sale at just $3.99 per 12-count. Wegmans has over 20 types of Wegmans coffee pods. These include multiple flavours and roasts. There is even an organic version for $5.99.

Aldi coffee capsules are less expensive than other brands by at least 37%.

However, other grocery stores very likely have many more options, as I didn’t even include the name brands like Starbucks ($8.49 for 10), Dunkin’ ($7.99 for 10) and McDonald’s ($7.49 for 10).

  • Aldi pods can be as cheap as $4. $5? More? One coffee. These pods cost only 30 cents each

Aldi Coffee Pods – What Does It Taste Like?

While Aldi coffee has received rave reviews across the Internet, not many people have mentioned their Everyday coffee cups.

While I’m not trying to be unfair, it is probably safe to conclude that this taste isn’t anything to write home about.

They are likely bought for their convenience or for their price. You’re fine with that! You may just find yourself in need of a quick fix coffee for your hectic mornings or work.

But, I haven’t tried any of these seasonal coffee pods. I loved the peppermint mocha, it was delicious and one of my favorites coffees.

Although I have never been a huge fan of hot espresso, I found the peppermint-y and chocolaty flavors to be very delicious.

  • Aldi’s Peppermint Mocha Cups were placed right beside Starbucks K-cups of the exact same flavor. This was a striking coincidence.
  • Aldi also offers hot cocoa cup with milk or dark chocolate. While the dark chocolate pods were tasty, it was nothing extraordinary.

  • The regular Everyday pods may be considered acceptable, but the Aldi Finds flavored pods might be better and more enjoyable.
  • Aldi Coffee Machines Compatibility with Aldi CoffeePods?

Let’s get a better look at some of these popular machines, and whether they are compatible with Aldi’s coffee cups.

Aldi Coffee Pods (Price, Types, Quality, Roasts, Taste + More)

Aldi CoffeePods are compatible with Keurig Machines

Aldi coffee pods are compatible with Keurig machines. These are the machines Aldi’s pods were designed for and will work with any model, as well as the Minis.

Are Aldi Coffee Pods Compatible With Nespresso Machines?

Aldi’s Everyday coffee pods are not compatible with Nespresso machines, which are used to brew espresso at home. Nestle, the company that owns Nespresso machines, hasn’t made them as popular here in America.

Aldi’s Everyday espresso pods don’t have the correct type of ground to use in Nespresso machines.

Aldi released coffee capsules that fit into Nespresso machines even though the Everyday pods aren’t compatible. Aldi Finds came in several flavors, and each box cost $3.49.

Reddit commented that they are having trouble finding them.

Nespresso machines being more common abroad means that European Aldi stores stock espresso pods under their Everyday lines. These pods are sold under Alcafe.

Are Aldi Coffee Pods Compatible With Dolce Gusto Machines?

Aldi coffee pods will not work with Nescafe Dolce Gusto machines. These machines take at-home espresso to another level, including touchscreens that let you customize your drink and create specialty beverages.

Aldi’s coffee pods don’t have enough milk pods for making lattes, cappuccinos or other espresso-based drinks.

Aldi stores around the world sell Dolce Gusto compliant cups. They are available under the Alcafe Barista Moments label.

Aldi Coffee Pods are Compatible with KFee Machines

Aldi Coffee pods do not fit in with Kfee machines. Starbucks Verismo pods can be used with Kfee machines.

Aldi Coffee Pods (Price, Types, Quality, Roasts, Taste + More)

Are Aldi Coffee Pods Compatible With Tassimo Machines?

Aldi pods for coffee aren’t compatible with Tassimo machines. This is because the cups must have a unique barcode that tells the machine what water level, what time to brew, and the temperature.

Aldi Everyday coffee cups work only with Keurig machines. Keurigs make the best single-cup machines, and this makes sense.

American consumers haven’t yet developed enough taste for espresso at home to justify all of the compatible pods.

Aldi’s coffee pods have been explained. We also offer related articles such as Aldi bread, Aldi almondmilk, and Aldi choco.

  • Conclusion
  • Aldi coffee pods can be purchased in six everyday varieties. Seasonally, specialty flavors are also available as part Aldi Finds. These pods, while not quite as well-received than Aldi’s other coffee products are very serviceable and inexpensive.

Aldi coffee pods might not fit into any other machine other than a Keurig, but since that is the one most common in the U.S., they’re a good buy if you want to save some money on quick, hot caffeinated beverages.
